39 weeks... 2 weeks late

I can't wrap my mind around the fact that this picture was taken over 2 weeks ago. Time is flying by and I'm so sad about it. I had such a wonderful delivery experience, nothing like I thought it would be. Our son, Harrison James, is absolutely perfect and we could NOT be more in love with him. He's sleeping the day away right now and I actually ate lunch and I'm making dinner for the FIRST time since having him, I'm learning as I go. Breast feeding has been THE most challenging part of becoming a new mother, well that and dealing with the fact that I actually CAN'T stop time from passing by and my little angel from growing another ounce. I'm hoping to be able to start documenting our life with Harrison through my blog again. Turns out having a newborn is super time consuming, HA, like anyone said it wouldn't be. I wouldn't want to spend my days doing anything other than hanging out with him though, it's the best thing in the world. Here's my 39 week chalkboard and a few pictures of our little angel!

Taken August 10, 2015 (4 hours before Harrison was born)

I only take about 100 pictures a day, so if you don't like looking at baby photos, this isn't the blog for you :) Until next time, whenever that may be! I'll be snuggling and loving all over my little guy, life has never felt more perfect!

38 weeks

I know you're shocked that I'm entire week late posting, but seriously, TOMORROW is the big day!! I am overwhelmed with so many emotions! I am so excited to finally meet our son but obviously very nervous about having a c-section. I have never had any kind of surgical procedure so this is all very new and scary to me. Although, in the last few days I have become a little calmer about the idea, I think my excitement to meet Harrison is hopefully taking over my fear of getting him here. All extra prayers are appreciated for a safe delivery for Harrison and I.

How far along? 38 weeks
Gender: Boy
Total weight gain/loss? 25 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Miss anything? sleeeeeeeping! Which is not something that is given back to you once your baby arrives. I just lay in bed thinking about a million things. How will we do this, how will we do that. How am I gonna go 2 weeks without picking up my sweet Penny (our dog)? What if the recovery pain is unbearable? Will breast feeding go smoothly? And then all of a sudden it's 3:00 in the morning and I still haven't fallen asleep. I can't control my mind and it's very exhausting.
Movement? Tons! I love feeling all of his big rolls in my tummy.
Cravings? Strawberry Gatorade and Funyuns ( I have always loved a bag of Funyuns for I am loooving them lately)
Food aversions? None.
Are you showing yet? Yes, painfully, yes!
Symptoms? Exhaustion... sleep Apnea... and Braxton Hicks contractions that straight up HURT. My belly feels like it may explode if it stretches anymore.
Looking forward to? NEXT WEEK! Can't even believe it's going to be here so soon!! Again, I am SO thankful to God for such an enjoyable and healthy pregnancy.

37 weeks...FULL TERM

It's BIRTH MONTH! Happy August everyone. I have never been so excited to flip the page on a calender. I will be 38 weeks tomorrow and in less than 10 days I will officially be a MOM. Its a role that I could NOT be happier to take on.

How far along? 37 weeks
Gender: Boy
Total weight gain/loss? 23.4 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Miss anything? Nothing in particular this week... I'm actually feeling better than ever. I'm just so ready to have my little guy and snuggle with him!
Movement? Tons! I love feeling all of his big rolls in my tummy.
Cravings? Still Gatorade and any kind of cold plate.
Food aversions? None.
Are you showing yet? Basketball size!!
Symptoms? Still lower back pain but it actually seems to be better this week. I had a prenatal massage and I think that definitely helped.
Looking forward to? August 10th. I left my doctors appointment this week with a date for my scheduled c-section. I am so nervous but so excited!
