26 weeks

Only 3 months to go!! What?? I can't believe I will be holding my baby in possibly 11 or 12 weeks, I can NOT wait. I hope everyone had an awesome Mother's day. I'm so grateful for my mom and I have been saying it for years, I hope I'm half as great as being a mother to my children as she has been to my sisters and I, we are so lucky to have her! Here's the 26 week bumpdate...

How far along? 26 weeks
Gender: Boy
Total weight gain/loss? 15 lbs.. Some how I managed not to gain any weight this week...yet?
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Miss anything? Nope!! Just ready to hold my baby!
Movement? Yes. My husband and I saw my belly moving all around from the outside for the first time this week! It's so crazy!
Cravings? Watermelon and perfectly ripe strawberries... I'm having trouble finding both!
Food aversions? None.
Are you showing yet? Definitely! It's weird to have complete strangers come up and ask when I'm due.
Symptoms? Feeling great this week. I have learned that if I just take 10-15 minute breaks between cleaning that I have very little hip pain. I'm learning as I go.
Looking forward to? Memorial Day!! I have already purchased some sparklers and I can't wait to deck myself and my food out in Red, White and Blue!

25 weeks

I had my very first baby shower this weekend and it was so much fun! I told someone yesterday that the only thing better than receiving a gift is receiving a gift for your child. Harrison got so many great things! My family and friends went out of their way to make sure the shower was beautiful and it absolutely was. I'm so thankful for everything!

How far along? 25 weeks
Gender: Boy
Total weight gain/loss? 15 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Miss anything? I've said it before and I feel like this will be the one thing I wish I could do without having to take a break, CLEAN MY HOUSE.
Movement? Yes. loving every second of it.
Cravings? Nothing in particular. My mom bought a Pepperidge Farm coconut cake last week and I think I could have eaten the entire thing!
Food aversions? None!!Hallelujah!
Are you showing yet? Definitely!
Symptoms? Hip pain. I took Tylenol for the first time in 6 months this week because I couldn't even make it up and down the stairs at my parents house. I only took half the dosage though, so it pretty much did nothing. Usually sleeping it off works best.
Looking forward to? Our 3D ultrasound in 2 weeks. I am dyyyying to see his face and who he looks like!!

Showering Harrison

Thank you to all of my family and friends that put together this shower. It was beautiful and I enjoyed it so much. My best friend Danielle, who flew in from Texas was able be there and help give the shower and it was so wonderful to be able to share this time with her since she lives so far away. I am so lucky to have so many wonderful friends and family members to love our little boy. We feel so fortunate!

I'm off to visit baby Liam, my friend Vera (who is standing to my right) gave birth to a beautiful baby boy this morning, very quickly I might add. When I think about the fact that she had him at 38 weeks and I think about my due date, that means I could POTENTIALLY have my baby in 12 weeks...what the what!? I am NOT ready...I'm terrified in fact. How does one prepare for labor and delivery? Pray..that's all I've got! Happy hump day friends!
